REHABILITATION

Whether recovering from a surgery, stroke, fall, or any other health condition that would benefit from rehabilitation, ANRC’s rehab group provides therapy services for a wide range of diagnoses. Working to gain a clear understanding of personal goals, we are committed to returning residents to their home or community.

ANRC offers in-house physical, occupational, and speech therapy services with individual and group treatment settings. Family members are encouraged to provide moral support, observe therapy sessions, and to discuss goals, progress, and plans for discharge. By utilizing real life programs, occupational therapist provides the resident with the opportunity to gain more control over their health and achieve peak performance in daily living.

Rehab services that typically qualify for skilled services include:

• Ongoing assessment of rehab needs and potential
• Therapeutic exercises or activities
• Gait evaluation and training
• Range of motion exercises
• Maintenance therapy
• Ultrasound, short-wave, and microwave therapy treatment by a qualified physical therapist
• Hot packs, hydrocollator, infrared treatments, and paraffin baths
• Speech pathologist available for the restoration of function in speech and/or swallowing

Rehabilitation care is generally provided to Medicare recipients or individuals covered by a Medicare Replacement Plan offered by a variety of insurance companies and Veterans Affairs.
